Earlier this year, Carson played Conner in the horror film Eye for an Eye, which was directed by Colin Tilley, and he had his first lead role in a feature film in 2024 playing Jordy in Rally Caps. Further live-action projects for Carson include playing Charlie in Disney feature film Crater (which originally released on Disney+ in 2023), filming in Texas for the TV series The Chosen, and in 5000 Blankets, he played Phillip Saunders opposite Anna Camp playing his mother Cyndi Saunders, which is based on the true story of their characters. Also a voice actor, Carson voices regular character Tank in Disney Juniorās Pupstruction, Beef in the new Nickelodeon animated series Wylde Pak, voiced Cole #2 alongside Adam Sandler in Leo on Netflix, and he is the voice of Flounder in The Little Mermaid: A Musical Adventure at Disney Worldās Hollywood Studios. Carson is currently recording Series 3 of Pupstruction, and has been working on an unannounced project. Answering our questions, we found out from Carson about playing Wiley Bardo in thriller film Site, filming as Phillip Saunders in 5000 Blankets and voicing Tank in Pupstruction and Beef in Wylde Pak.
In the upcoming thriller film Site (releasing in the US this month), you play Wiley Bardo, was there anything that drew you to the project and character?
When we first read the script, I remember thinking it had a cool, mysterious military vibe. And Wiley sounded like a character similar to myself, who loves being with his family and competitive sports (in his case, swimming!).
Can you tell us about Site, and how would you describe Wiley?
Site is an intense thriller with tons of suspense. Wileyās dad, Neil Bardo, goes through this crazy time distortion at an abandoned military site and starts having scary hallucinations. When Wileyās out with him, he gets hurt and ends up temporarily blinded. Wileyās just a sweet kid who looks up to his dad and loves hanging out with him whenever he can.
What was Wiley like to play, and what do you feel you learnt from taking on the role?
Wiley was fun to play because heās just a great kid. Throughout most of my time filming, I felt like I really learned how to listen, since most of the film Iām blindfolded and had to rely on that more than anything else.
How was it filming with the rest of the cast, which includes Jake McLaughlin as your on-screen father Neil Bardo, Arielle Kebbel as Elena, and Theo Rossi as Garrison?
It was awesome. Everyone was super welcoming and made it easy to feel comfortable on set. Jake was great to work with as my onāscreen dad, and I learned a lot just watching him. Arielle was so kind. One day, she brought me chicken strips and fries because she knew the lunch we were having on set that day wasnāt something I was looking forward to! Lol. And Theo is just about as cool as you can get! I loved the opportunity to work alongside him. Oh, and Arielle and Miki Ishikawa both brought their dogs to set, which is always fun.
Why would you recommend watching Site, and who do you think it will appeal to?
Iād recommend watching Site because itās not like anything else youāve seen. I think itāll appeal to anyone who loves thrillers, sciāfi, or just a good, suspenseful movie.
Also, this year, you played Conner in horror film Eye for an Eye, how did you find the experience being involved with a horror film?
Pretty awesome! Horror is so different from anything Iād done before, and I liked getting to be part of some of the intense moments. This was actually the first time I had a stunt double, which was cool to watch. I also loved seeing all the creepy stuff being made behind the scenes⦠like the eyeballs they used!

How was it reading the Eye for an Eye script for the first time and being directed by Colin Tilley?
At first, I was a little nervous reading the script because it was so intense, but thatās also what made it exciting. Working with Colin Tilley was awesome. Heās directed so many musical legends, so I knew this film would be sick.
What was it like filming as Jordy in Rally Caps, and how was it having the character as your first lead role in a feature film?
It was really special playing Jordy, especially since he was my first lead role in a feature film. I learned a lot about childhood anxiety and how to overcome obstacles with a great support system. Also, Jordy loves baseball as much as I do, so that made the filming process so much fun.
What are some of your favourite memories from your time on set of Rally Caps?
Some of my favourite memories from Rally Caps were that it honestly felt like real camp! We played dodgeball a lot, ate spaghetti pretty much every meal, and I made friends for life. The whole cast and crew were awesome! And I canāt leave out filming at the iconic Field of Dreams. A dream come true. The whole experience will never be forgotten.
How was it playing Charlie in the Disney feature film Crater, which was originally released on Disney+ in 2023?
Playing Charlie in Crater was awesome! Filming was pretty quick for me. It took place in Iceland, which was my first time out of the country. We had a blast on set, especially picking and trying the wild crowberries we found in-between takes. I want to go back ASAP!
What do you remember most from filming for 5000 Blankets as Phillip Saunders opposite Anna Camp as Phillipās mother, Cyndi Saunders?
What I remember most is probably getting to meet the real-life Phillip and Cyndi on set. That was really special, knowing I was one of the ones bringing their story to the big screen.
You are also an experienced voice actor, and can be heard as regular character Tank in the Disney Junior series Pupstruction, how is it getting into character as Tank?
Itās so much fun getting into character as Tank. I kind of go into my āChunk from The Gooniesā mode when Iām voicing him. Haha! If you know that movie, you can totally picture how fun that is.

What do you enjoy about working on Pupstruction and being part of the cast?
I love working on Pupstruction because itās such a fun and positive show, and the whole cast is awesome. Itās also fun getting to sing on this show! There are a couple of Tank solos that Iām really proud of. Who knows, maybe this will be the start to my singing career. Haha.
In the new Nickelodeon animated series Wylde Pak, you voice Beef, what is the series like to record for?
Voicing Beef is super fun. I get to bring out some of my country twang, haha. Whatās crazy is⦠Iāve always loved watching The Loud House, so working with the same creators is really cool and such an honour.
Can you tell us about some of your further projects, which have included the TV series The Chosen, Mayfair Witches, Doom Patrol, and The Purge, films The Passenger and Palmer, and voiceovers for Leo and Disney Worldās The Little Mermaid: A Musical Adventure?
Yeah! Iāve been really lucky to work on a bunch of different projects, and Iāll never take the experiences for granted. The Chosen was an incredible project to be a part of, and also the first time I got to film a show in Texas! I had a blast voicing Cole #2 in Leo alongside so many comedic legends like Adam Sandler!! And itās so cool knowing people all over the world get to hear my voice as Flounder in The Little Mermaid: A Musical Adventure at Disney Worldās Hollywood Studios.
Where does your love of acting come from, and how did you get into it?
Honestly, Iāve loved attention and making people laugh since I was really little. Iāve always loved being in front of a camera, and I started acting classes at DTV Studios when I was young. I loved every single class and camp there, and I made some awesome friends along the way too.
What are some of your favourite films and TV shows to watch, and how do you like to spend your free time?
I grew up watching shows on the Disney Channel, like Jessie and Bunk’d, and always imagined how much fun they had on set. If you asked me to pick a movie, it would definitely be a sports movie of some kind. I just recently watched F1, and itās now in my top ten.
In my free time, Iām usually playing baseball, golf, hanging out with friends, or playing video games.
Do you have any further acting/voiceover work coming up that you can talk about, and what are you hoping the rest of the year brings for you?
Right now, Iām finishing up Season 3 of Pupstruction and just enjoying my summer, relaxing, and always staying ready for the next audition. I also just recently wrapped on another project that Iām pretty pumped about and canāt wait to announce.
