Speaking with us, Mandy told us about her latest music release Do the Hit, her YouTube channels including Mandy’s World and performing at music events.
In March, you released your latest music single Do the Hit, can you tell us about the song?
Hey everyone! So, in March, I released my latest music single called Do the Hit. It’s such a fun song! It’s all about dancing, and you have to do some cool steps to “Do the Hit”. The song was produced by Poo Bear and my mom, Daniela. When we were recording it, I was super inspired and even came up with some of the dance moves! I got to teach Poo Bear, and it was super fun!
What was Do the Hit like to record and how was it hearing the song come together?
Recording Do the Hit was amazing! I was at the studio with Poo Bear, my mom, and my dad. My mom had the lyrics ready, and we were listening to beats from Shndo. Suddenly, we heard this beat that made us all super happy, and we knew it was perfect for the lyrics. Then, Poo Bear started recording with me, moving some lyrics around and making it even more fun. By the end of the day, the song was done! When we heard it, we couldn’t stop dancing and doing the steps. It was such a happy moment!

Your other recent singles have included Secret Crush, Roll Call and Happy Emoji, how is it seeing the listeners’ response to your music?
I love making people happy! It really melts my heart each time someone does my dances or sends me messages telling me they love my songs. I feel very humble and joyful seeing the listeners’ response to my music!
Is there anything you enjoy most about recording and releasing your own songs?
The recording experience is amazing because I always learn so much from Poo Bear. When I release a new song, I enjoy when my friends listen to the song for the first time. I love to see their faces and their reactions, it’s so fun! And, of course, hearing my fans’ reactions makes me so happy!
How do you find the experience filming music videos and how was it on set for the recent release of the Do the Hit video?
Filming music videos is so refreshing! I always have the best time on set. Even though it’s a long day of repeating the choreography and singing many times, it’s always super fun. For the Do the Hit video, it was extra special because my dancers and I are all friends. We’re just kids having a great time together!
What has it been like performing recently at events such as the Glam Z Gala, TFL and in Cartagena?
Performing recently at events like the Glam Z Gala, TFL, and in Cartagena has been amazing! Even though there were some technical issues at the Glam Z Gala, I found my way to make my performance the best I could and kept going no matter what happened. TFL was incredible! I had the best moment on stage, and the audience was really into the songs, dancing and singing with me. My experience in Cartagena was very humbling. I had the opportunity to sing for kids living in very poor communities who had never seen a show in English. It was a life-changing experience for me.
You have over 300k subscribers on your music YouTube channel, how did you feel receiving your 100k YouTube plaque last year?
It’s been amazing! I now have 400k subs, and it’s growing every day. That makes me happy because I put a lot of effort into my songs and music videos, and I really want all the kids to enjoy them. Receiving the 100k YouTube plaque last year was a great accomplishment for me and my mom. We felt so happy because we work very hard to make my channel “MANDY CORRENTE” look great, and we’re always trying to be better. It’s very motivating that YouTube sends you a plaque as a reminder of your achievements!
What is it like filming vlogs for your Mandy’s World channel?
My Mandy’s World channel was created as an entertainment channel because my main channel is for my music and dances. I wanted to show the world who I am, and that’s why it’s called Mandy Corrente World. The channel reflects me. I get to go to many fun places, and it’s like my real life. On this channel, you’ll see me doing kid stuff, playing games, dancing, singing, and having fun making vlogs!

We understand you have recently been competing as a cheerleader, can you tell us about this?
I started dancing when I was 2 years old and did gymnastics for many years. Last year, I got really into cheerleading because it combines dance, tumbling, and stunts. I was super curious and started cheerleading in the summer of 2023, and I really love it! What I love the most is being part of a team and learning to work together.
What do you remember from being interviewed by Mario Lopez on The Ellen Show in 2021?
Oh, it was so cool! Mario Lopez was really nice and fun. I was super excited and he was easy to talk to. They even gave me my first home studio to record music as a gift! It was something I’ll never forget.

Where does your love of music and YouTube come from and how did you get started in the industry?
I think my love for music started when I recorded my first song. I loved it so much that I just kept going. Music makes me feel happy and relaxed — it’s something I really love. As for YouTube, I enjoy showing people who I am and sharing my world. My mom started posting my songs, dances, acting reels and classes on social media, and one day, things went viral with The Ellen Show. That’s when my career really started to take off. Since I recorded my first song at age five, I haven’t stopped!
How do you like to spend your free time?
In my free time, I love playing Roblox on my iPad, playing with my puppy, riding my bike, going to the beach, and having playdates with my friends. It’s so much fun!
Do you have any upcoming career plans that you can tell us about and what are you hoping this year brings for you?
I’m really excited about the new songs I’m working on this year. It’s such a fun process, and I can’t wait to share them with you all! I’m just enjoying everything I do right now because I’m still young, and I love every moment of making music and performing. I really love to act too so I’m working on my acting skills, making lots of auditions and having fun with it!
Here’s to a great year ahead!
